Hong Kong Economic Times published an article which reported the findings by the Hong Kong Census and Statistics Department. This survey showed that the number of hours worked had fallen and pay had increased for this year, as compared to last year. The survey also showed that the median working hours have fallen by 1 hour, as compared to figures from last year, specifically mentioning that female professionals are working 1 to 2 hours less.
The author of the article asked DT’s professionals to comment, and they mentioned that the figures may not have taken the Public Relations industry into account because contrary to survey results, many PR employees have been working overtime for almost 2 to 3 hours a day due to a brighter market outlook this year.
