After graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree at Columbia University, New York, Alice began her career by honing her business and consulting skills at Ernst & Young LLP, then at plural.com in Silicon Valley, California, offering high net worth clients e-business consulting services.
Alice is mainly responsible for lining up strategic partnerships and to strengthen DT’s alliance with China to the rest of the world.
Jessica grew up between Paris and London. She graduated in law from the University of Westminster in London and obtained Masters Degrees from the University of Lancaster and the University of Hong Kong.
Having started her career as a commercial and intellectual property lawyer first in London and later in Hong Kong, Jessica has acted for well-known businesses and brands including Reebok, Adidas, Umbro, Ugg, Harley Davidson, LVMH and Diageo PLC.
Jessica is experienced in brand development and protection. She assists European, American and Asian clients to establish and execute their business strategies as well as develop their brand.
In her spare time Jessica produces street dance and hip hop theatre shows involving international artists and disadvantaged young people.
Studied computer science at University of California - Davis, Gary Tong has chosen to focus his efforts in the Information Telecom and Technology sector towards regional and multi-national companies in Asia.
Currently the Operation Director of DT and the founder of social media tracking analytics tool iDT, Gary was project manager for the United Nations’ International Development Information Network Association (DEVNET) Pavilion at Shanghai World Expo 2010.
Gary has been responsible for various government projects, mainly dealing with different government departments such as Ministry of Information and Technology of PRC and the Chinese Academy of Science. He has also worked with Hong Kong’s CITB and InvestHK, Singapore’s IDA and South Korea’s KAIT.
He was Project Manager at IDG and PR Director at ASP iDC Alliance, responsible for digital and e-marketing strategies. His client base included but was not limited to IBM, Intel, HP, SONY, Commerce and Economic Development Bureau, Unisys (China) and National Semiconductor.
Gary travels from city to city in China for his clients and loves to play soccer during his spare time.
Anthony Lawrance is DT’s Consultant for Greater China and oversees the region’s business and marketing strategies. He also plays a lead role in intelligence research specializing in the hospitality and tourism industries.
Originally from South Africa, Anthony has 20 years of experience in journalism and media in and around Greater China. Anthony was the managing editor of the South China Morning Post, the region’s top English-language newspaper and was also the founding managing editor of the Taipei Times, Taiwan’s largest English-language newspaper. He also played a lead role in Ignite Media Group, which specializes multi-media platforms – magazines, outdoor, billboard, inflight TV, and online media.
Anthony has a B.A. in History and Law from Natal University in South Africa.
With over 15 years of experience of event management, Catherine knows the ins and outs of event planning, luxury brands promotions, as well as arranging successful conferences for multi-national companies in Asia.
Catherine has worked with a multitude of luxury brands and multi-national corporations, including Louis Vuitton, Cartier, Vera Wang, Alfred Dunhill, Loewe, Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation, Italian Trade Commission and Harvey Nichols. With her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and her education from Singapore, Catherine also understands the theoretical concepts of business, making her a true well-rounded communications powerhouse.
The former fashion design student is always the best dressed, taking inspiration from her favourite designers and fashion houses – Celine, YSL, Chloe and many more – and mixing high-street with high-end fashion to create affordable yet fashionable looks for everyday wear.
As DT’s Strategy Advisor, Franklin is responsible for leading Corporate Strategy for client engagements in China. Franklin is one of the founding partners of SmithStreetSolutions that creates successful business and investment strategies for the China market. Franklin is also a Strategy Advisor for JUCCCE, a joint US-China NGO for clean energy development, and Deputy Chairman of the Shanghai Yangpu High-Tech District Overseas Chinese Committee. He was a recipient of the 2010 Shanghai Overseas Chinese Entrepreneur Award presented by the Shanghai government.
Franklin’s insights into the China market have been featured in both Chinese and English media, including The Deal, Crain’s New York Business and FOX Business News. In addition, he has been a keynote speaker at Yale, NYU, Imperial College Business School, The Danish-Chinese Business Forum and the Worldcom Annual Conference. Franklin has spent his career advising Financial Services, Insurance, and Professional Services organizations in both Asia and North America in the areas of investment strategy, China market entry, analytics, business strategy, and operations reengineering.
Franklin received a B.A. in Economics and East Asian Studies from Yale University.
As DT’s Financial Advisor, Robin Kerawala is responsible for leading operations and client delivery. Robin is one of the founding partners of SmithStreetSolutions that creates successful business and investment strategies for the China market. Robin is responsible for leading pharmaceutical client engagements and has served a wide spectrum of clients on three continents – Asia, Europe and America – from different industries covering both Business-to-Business as well as Business-to-Consumers.
Previously, Robin was an Engagement Manager at Mitchell Madison Group where he delivered significant cost savings for his clients, advising them on global logistics strategy, raw materials sourcing, as well as legal services and HR outsourcing issues. Robin also worked as a consultant at Operations Management Group, Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, and Silver Oak Solutions.
Robin graduated from Brown University with a B.A. in Economics.
Ashley’s specialties include Public Relations, Marketing Research and Brand Management, having provided these services to both Chinese and international companies.
Due to her experience as an expatriate, coupled with her education and employment in China, Ashley is an expert on how to tackle the Mainland China market. She is also fluent in three languages – English, Mandarin Chinese and Russian. Her multi-lingualism has not only helped clients bridge gaps in language and culture, but is also a vital tool in effectively and earnestly communicating with clients.
Dancing is the name of Ashley’s game. Not only is she a smooth operator when it comes to her job, she’s got slick moves and fancy footwork to boot. In her spare time, Ashley can be seen heating up the dance floor, or dining at her favourite restaurants.
